Shipping compatibility matrix

For the order cancellation and address changes plugin: what happens to shipping while an order remains in the editing window.

In development. This matrix does not announce that the plugin is available to buy or download.

Documented review: 13 July 2026 · WooCommerce 10.9.4.

The rows reproduce the scope of that review in the plugin repository. They do not certify later versions, your store configuration or the current behaviour of external provider panels.

What the window holds back

In the documented behaviour, an eligible order stays in the editing-window status before moving to processing. This can delay integrations that react to that status or query a list of statuses that excludes the window.

It does not block access by a service that queries all orders without filtering by status. Each shipping integration needs its own check.

How to read the evidence

Verified by code
The repository review identifies the trigger or query in the named version. This is not a test of the external service.
Verified by controlled integration
The review documents a test with the named version and a WooCommerce order. Local queries or hooks are exercised; it does not establish a real label purchase or shipment.
Not guaranteed
The external provider’s status query has not been verified. Its panel must be checked before relying on the window.

Check with a test order

Before relying on the window in a store, check the exact combination of versions and settings in a test environment.

  1. Create a paid test order and confirm that it is in the editing-window status.
  2. Wait for the shipping, WMS or 3PL integration’s next sync.
  3. Confirm that no shipment, pick ticket or fulfilment task was created.
  4. Close the window from the order screen.
  5. Confirm that the order moves once to processing and appears in the integration on its next sync.
  6. If the provider acts before the window closes, suspend instant self-service for that store until the provider can exclude the editing-window status.

When reporting a correction, include the integration, its version, the panel’s status filter and the observed sequence. Do not include customer data or credentials.
